Song Finder
Can't remember the name of a song? Type a few lyrics you remember, describe it ("a sad song about a guy waiting at a diner at 3am"), or sing it into your microphone. The Song Finder suggests the most likely songs and shows how sure it is.
How the percent match works
The match is not a guess from a chatbot. Each suggested song is checked three ways: its lyrics are compared with what you typed, MusicBrainz confirms the song really exists and finds its original album, and the result is weighted by how confident the suggestion was. A song that is not confirmed is capped at a low match.
Tips
- The more words, the better. A full line beats a single word.
- Spelling does not need to be exact, because misheard words are allowed for.
- The microphone turns your voice into words, so it can name a song you sing, but it cannot recognise a hummed tune with no words.
